Now to create and to live in these new habits that I´ve mentioned previously, we need something greater to give us the strength and ability to do this. We cannot, I repeat, we cannot do this on our own strength. The only power we have is the power of our own will, that is, to decide, to choose. But to produce our own type of power to live holy is not at all possible. If it had been possible we would not have needed a Savior. We would not need GOD to save us because we would not have sinned at all. Seeing we would have had the power not to sin and live according to what GOD says(If it were at all true we could have had the power on our own). And that is precisely why GOD has promised us that through His Spirit that He has given us that He would give us power. Now these are one of the spiritual blessings given to us-Eph.1:3. This power gives us the ability to live differently-Eph.1:19,2Pet.1:3-4. This is not a power that gives us the strength to carry a ton of bricks. No, this is a power that helps us live according to what GOD says in the Bible.
It is simple to understand. And not only is it simple to understand, but it is an awesome experience to actually live this out. It is awesome because when you start living it out you will be filled with joy. And you will feel free, because where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom-2Cor.3:17. You will be what is known as walking in the Spirit, which means living in the Spirit....."But, how can I activate that Divine power?" You may be asking.
